PREMISE

The International Union of Phlebology (UIP) represents 81 scientific societies dedicated to vein-lymphatic care, constituting the world organization dedicated to this healthcare field. Scientific production and related reading access is of pivotal importance in the UIP mission accomplishment. Moreover, the UIP World Congresses lead to the publication of scientific abstracts in an official indexed journal. UIP aims to partner with a top quality Scientific Journal to be the “Official Journal of the UIP” for the benefit of all its member societies.

CALL DETAILS

UIP is announcing a call for the selection of its official journal as per the following requirements:

  1. Peer-reviewed journal in English language indexed in Medline.
  2. Impact Factor >1.
  3. Journal aims and scope that align with those of the UIP
  4. Member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)
  5. Renewable contract not lasting more than 4 years with termination notice not longer than 6 months.
  6. Fixed subscription price with specifics for Tier 3, 2 and 1
  7. At least 1 free publication of guidelines/consensus document per year. 
  8. Best offer for World congress abstracts publication (2 world congresses in the 4 years terms), with a preference to be an open access publication. 
  9. Promotion of the UIP as the Official Journal on the journal website, including inclusion of the UIP logo in print and online material
  10. Open access journals must be listed in the Director of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
  11. Provision to arrange online access to the journal to be hosted in the members area of UIP website.
  12. Eventual benefits as suggested by the bidder.
