Objectives

The aims of the UIP Congresses and Events Committee (CEC) are to:

• To ensure consistency between UIP congresses from event to event.
• To create a blueprint for all UIP Congresses and Events.

Activities

The activities of the UIP CEC include:

• To create a common structure for the congress scientific program, general council meetings and social functions;
• To oversee the bidding process for future UIP Congresses and Events;
• To proactively interact with industry to maintain sponsorship for the congresses of the UIP;
• To oversee the activities of the Local Organising Committee and Core-PCO;
• To engage with the UIP Core professional congress organiser Core PCO and to distribute, collect and analyse feedback forms;

Composition

The CEC shall be comprised of:

• the Chair of the Congresses and Events Committee (Chair)
• the Chair of the Science Committee (Deputy Chair)
• the Chair of the Education Committee
• representatives from the UIP Core PCO
• the UIP Executive Director
• the Chair(s) of the Local Organising Committee for the upcoming UIP Congresses
• the UIP President
• Any additional members that may be required by the Committee from time to time.
