The 19th World Congress of the International Union of Phlebology was held in glamorous Istanbul in September 2022. Delayed for one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the congess was the first opportunity for the international phlebology community to come together since 2019. The congress was organised by the Turkish Society of Phlebology under the guidance and leadership of Prof. Kursat Bozkurt.
The program consisted of plenary lectures, symposiums, workshops, coures, oral presentations and poster presentations over 5 days from speakers from all over the world. To reflect the diverse cultures of the UIP, sessions were conducted in several languages including English, Spanish, Italian, Bulgarian and Russian.
