The section of vascular surgery at Imperial College London is conducting a survey in preparation for the submission of an accelerator bid that will be presented to the National Institute for health research (NIHR) Health Technology Assessment (HTA). The accelerator award will provide funding to develop a platform that can help support future collaborative research in venous leg ulceration. Platform studies are research studies (usually randomised controlled trials) that can be delivered by a group with the ability to add and remove treatment arms whilst comparing different interventions to a control group. Platform trials can provide a more efficient and versatile way to assess new technology compared to standard single randomised controlled trials. We would be grateful if you could complete this questionnaire to help inform the optimal development of the platform.
