The UIP is saddened to announce the passing of Professor Kenneth Myers from Melbourne, Australia. Prof. Myers was a prominent vascular surgeon and prolific author, contributing to major textbooks and publications. Despite retiring a few years ago, he remained active throughout his retirement, contributing to many recent major guidelines and consensus documents. At the Melbourne UIP2018 congress, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Australasian College of Phlebology.  He was a true gentleman and friend and will be missed by all.
